Persons acting in an unsafe manner may have their membership revoked, card deactivated and they will not be allowed to use the range. No refund of membership dues will be given.

Range Safety

  • Treat all guns as if they are loaded.
  • On target, on trigger-off target, off trigger.
  • Don’t point a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy. Be sure of your target, what is in front of the target and what is beyond the target.
  • No alcohol, marijuana or illegal drugs before coming to range or at the range.
  • Shooting hours are 8 a.m. to 1⁄2 hour after sunset. Cards will work for access during those times.
  • Use hearing protection and eye protection while on the range.
  • Steel target systems will be used only during WRPC supervised shooting events.
  • Use paper targets only. No use of exploding targets, fruit, junk, clay pigeons, etc.
  • Pick up your targets, shell casings etc. and put into the appropriate container (garbage cans or shell buckets or dud boxes) or take it with you. BE SURE to take down your targets!
  • The range may be closed during WRPC events, including set up and tear down (approx. 3-9 hrs).
  • Range may be closed 1 hour early on Wednesday night for event setup.
  • Check event schedule for range closures during shooting events.
  • Do not park in the driveway between the rifle shelter and the storage shed other than to load or unload.

Rifle Benches Safety

  • Aimed fire only. Be sure of your sight picture.
  • When going down range to place or check targets, work with other shooters for a break that works with all rifle shooters in both bays to go down range. Be courteous.
  • Place your rifles in the wall racks with the actions open when anyone goes down range.
  • Be sure to put up red flags when you go down range and put them back when you return.
  • NO ONE shoots when red flags are out. If a red flag is out when you come to the range BE SURE you check down range between 100 and 200 yard berms to be sure no one is down there before you start shooting.
  • Attach paper targets to target back boards only, not on support structure. Staple guns work best.
  • Target bunkers are 25, 50, 100 and 200 yards. Do NOT place targets on the ground in the infield.
  • Shoot 25 and 50 yard targets from the benches on the right side of the south shelter (closest to the pistol bay).
  • Shoot the 100 yard targets from the shooting benches on the left side of the south shelter and the right side of the north shelter.
  • Shoot the 200 yard targets from the shooting benches on the left side of the north shelter.
  • Shotguns can be patterned only on the north end of the north rifle shelter.

Pistol Bay Safety

  • NO SHOOTING FROM INSIDE THE WARMING SHELTER!!!
  • Aimed fire only. Be sure of your sight picture.
  • Safety table by the pistol bay-CCW, USPSA, malfunctions.
  • For now this is the only pistol bay to use for practice. The others are for WRPC supervised events only.
  • Attach paper targets to target back boards only, not on support structure. Staple guns work best.
  • All shooters MUST shoot from the same distance or take turns. Distances are marked on the concrete bunkers on the north side and by the plastic sprigs in the infield.
  • Do not shoot from the tables in the pistol bay. Use the rifle benches for longer shots.
  • This area is for pistols only (including rifle caliber pistols) or pistol caliber rifles shot at pistol distances.
  • Pistol shooters may continue to shoot while rifle shooters go down range in the rifle areas.
  • Be careful with your muzzle direction and aware of your loaded/unloaded status at all times.

This is your range so as a member treat the property as such. Damage costs every member.
